COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

An important component of the Marie-Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) H2020 project is community involvement. Thanks to a kind invitation by Prof. Brian Arbic of the University of Michigan, Dr. Buckingham had the unique opportunity to attend and participate as a volunteer lecturer at the Coastal Ocean Environment Summer School in Ghana (COESSING) in August 2019 and (virtually) in 2020. While the COVID-19 crisis limited the scope of involvement in 2020, the school was nevertheless held remotely via Slack, Google Colab, and Zoom. Here are few highlights from that summer school!
